Bonjour Bonjour!

Dans ce nouveau billet, je vous retrouve pour vous parler à nouveau d’un vernis de la marque Picture Polish : Dragon. Dragon est, lui aussi, issu d’une collaboration entre la marque et une blogueuse et Instagrammeuse, Olyainchocolate.

Parlons teinte, voulez-vous? Dragon est un bordeaux profond, avec une légère touche de chocolat et un holo de fou. C’est une très très belle réussite!

Le pinceau et l’application

Le pinceau de Dragon est le même que tous ceux de la marque Picture Polish. Il est coupé droit au bout, plutôt plat, de longueur moyenne et légèrement évasé vers le bas. Comme je vous l’ai déjà dit, ce n’est pas mon type de pinceau préféré mais il ne me pose pas de problème pour autant.

L’application est toujours aussi agréable, en partie grâce au pinceau qui est très bien étudié.

La texture et l’opacité

En ce qui concerne la texture, je dirais que Dragon est un gel-crème et c’est vraiment un texture que j’adore. Plus gel que crème, elle se dépose avec une aisance déconcertante, ne coule pas, se travaille rudement bien. Que dire de plus? 🙂

L’opacité de Dragon est très bonne. Je pense qu’on peut obtenir un très bon résultat avec une seule couche mais j’en ai personnellement appliqué deux pour les photos de l’article et l’opacité est juste excellente.

Le séchage

Tout comme les autres vernis Picture Polish dont je vous ai parlé jusqu’ici, Dragon sèche vraiment vite, ce qui est toujours agréable. De plus, vous avez quand même le temps de repasser sans faire de surcouche ou de pâté si jamais vous en aviez besoin.

Le rendu

Comme je le fais toujours, je n’ai pas appliqué de top-coat sur les photos de l’article afin que vous puissiez voir la brillance de Dragon et je pense qu’effectivement, les photos parlent d’elles-mêmes : Dragon est ultra brillant!

La tenue

Dragon a tenu moins bien que mes autres Picture Polish 😦 Je dirais trois jours sans top-coat avant de remarquer quelques écailles de ci de là.

Je pense qu’avec top-coat, cela n’arriverait pas mais c’est vrai que j’ai été hyper surprise de noter cela. La texture doit y être pour quelque chose j’imagine.

Ceci étant dit, il reste un tel bonheur à appliquer et il a une teinte si unique que je ne regrette pas une seconde de l’avoir acheté.

Le démaquillage

Comme tous les Picture Polish dont je vous ai parlé sur le blog, Dragon se retire très bien, sans tacher mes ongles et sans laisser de paillettes derrière lui, donc gros point positif pour ce petit bijou.

I am writing this new blog post to talk to you about another lacquer of my collection: Dragon, by Picture Polish & Olyainchocolate. It is an additional Collaboration Shade which the brand designed in collaboration with the blogger and Instagrammer Olyainchocolate.

Let’s talk about the shade for a minute. To me, Dragon is a deep bordeaux color with a hint of chocolate and a crazy beautiful holo. It is stunning!

Let’s move on to the pictures and my thoughts 😉

The brush and the way it applies

Dragon‘s brush is the same as any other Picture Polish’ brush. It is cut straight at the end, quite flat, of medium length and slightly wider at the end than at the base. Like I said in other posts, it is not my favorite type of brush but it is not difficult to work with either.

Applying Dragon is a real pleasure, as usual with Picture Polish lacquers, and it is partly due to the brush.

The texture and the opacity

As far as the texture, I would say that Dragon is a gel-cream and I really love that texture. More gel than cream, it applies super easily, does not run off of the nails and is easy to work with. What more can I say?! 🙂

The opacity of Dragon is excellent. I would say that you can achieve a perfect manicure in one coat but I have personally applied two thin ones and as you can tell the result is absolute perfection.

The drying

Just like any other Picture Polish I talked about so far, Dragon dries out pretty quickly on the nails, which is very nice. Furthermore, you still have a bit of time to go over a brush streak without ending up with a goopy finish so that is perfect.

The finish

As always, I have not applied any top coat over Dragon so you can see for yourselves that it is indeed super shiny.

How does it hold?

Dragon did not hold as well as the other Picture Polish lacquers I own 😦 It held 3 days without any top coat on and after that it started flaking away here and there.

With a coat of top coat, I am pretty sure that this would not happen but I have to say that I was surprised to see that happening. I guess that the texture played a role in that.

That being said, Dragon is very pleasant to apply and its shade is so unique that I do not regret purchasing it at all.

The removal

Like its Picture Polish brothers and sisters, Dragon was really easy to take off and it did not stain my nails nor left any holo. One more positive point for that little gem.
