Bonjour!

Je vous ai fait ma revue du vernis Olive Tree de MoYou London juste ici et je reviens aujourd’hui pour vous parler d’un autre vernis de la marque : Night Sail.

Je décrirais Night Sail comme un gris très foncé aux sous-tons vert forêt. C’est une teinte rare, à laquelle je ne m’attendais pas lorsque je l’ai commandée. En effet, je pensais commander un noir-gris, indispensable pour le stamping du coup puisque je suis une débutante dans ce domaine et je pense qu’il faut commencer avec un noir et un blanc, teintes qui sont passe-partout. Ceci étant dit, je trouve Night Sail très joli et je suis enchantée par sa teinte alors c’est une agréable surprise. De plus, sa tonalité verte me permet de le marier à encore plus de vernis que je ne le pensais 🙂

Jetons un œil à Night Sail si vous le voulez bien 😉

Le pinceau et l’application

Je ne change pas d’avis par rapport à ce que j’ai dit dans mon billet sur Olive Tree : j’ai beaucoup de mal avec le pinceau des vernis MoYou London… Il est court, de forme arrondie au bout, plat, mais surtout trop épais. J’ai noté moins de surplus avec Night Sail, la texture de ce dernier étant plus gérable (j’en parle en détails plus bas), mais il y a tout de même plus pratique dans d’autres marques.

La texture et l’opacité

La texture de Night Sail est très bien et je peux vous dire qu’après le désastre vécu avec Olive Tree, j’ai retenu mon souffle sur ce point :-O C’est une crème qui est parfaitement entre le liquide et l’épais. Du coup, elle est super agréable à appliquer, même en fines couches. Night Sail s’applique de façon bien homogène, sans laisser de trace, j’adore!

En terme d’opacité, je suis conquise aussi car il est opaque en deux couches. Parfait!

Le séchage

Night Sail fait partie des vernis qui sèchent bien. Ce n’est pas vitesse grand V mais c’est rapide quand même et c’est vraiment plaisant.

Le rendu

Comme vous le voyez sur les photos, Night Sail brille énormément. En règle générale, qu’un vernis brille par nature ou pas m’est bien égal mais lorsqu’il s’agit d’un vernis à stamping, c’est important. Si je veux stamper sur un vernis au rendu mat tout en réalisant un effet mat-brillant, il faut que le vernis à stamping brille sans avoir besoin d’artifice. Et c’est le cas de Night Sail 🙂

La tenue

Un autre point où j’ai serré les dents alors que je portais Night Sail. Après avoir constaté une tenue ridiculement médiocre chez son frère Olive Tree, j’avais peur que Night Sail soit un fail aussi. Mais non! Il a tenu 6 jours sur mes ongles! Il fait clairement partie de la moyenne haute des vernis de ma collection alors je mets un A+.

Le démaquillage

Rien à signaler de ce côté. Night Sail se retire très bien, sans laisser de trace et sans tacher mes ongles. J’ai utilisé un nouveau dissolvant, le Inell sans acétone de chez Leclerc et il s’est retiré sans effort.

Où se le procurer?

Night Sail était vendu sur le site MoYou London jusqu’à il y a peu mais je ne le trouve plus Vous pouvez le trouver sur Amazon cela dit 😉

Not so long ago, I reviewed Olive Tree by MoYou London, right here and I am back on the blog today to give you my thoughts on another polish of the brand: Night Sail.

I would describe Night Sail as a very rich grey with forest green undertones. It is definitely a unique shade and I was not expecting this polish to look that way when I bought it. Indeed, I thought I was buying a black-grey which is a shade that is a must-have when starting stamping, just as much as white. That said, I find that Night Sail is a super pretty shade so I was pleasantly surprised when opening the package. In addition, its green undertones make it suitable to even more polishes of my collection than I thought it would 🙂

The brush and the way it applies

My opinion on the brush has not changed since I did my review of Olive Tree: I am not a fan… The brush is short, round at the end of the ‘hair’, flat, but it is also way too thick. With Night Sail, I noticed that the texture -I will go into details in my next point- is much easier to apply than Olive Tree’s, yet some other brands’brush that are currently on the market are much better.

The texture and the opacity

Night Sail‘s texture is great and I can tell you that after the horrific experience I had with Olive Tree, I held my breath on that aspect :-O It is a cream texture which is down the middle of liquid and thick so it is nice to apply, even in thin coats. Night Sail applies smoothly and does not leave any streak. Love that!

As far as opacity, I adore this polish as it is fully opaque in two coats. Perfection!

The drying

Night Sail is part of thos polishes that dry quickly on the nails. Not super duper fast, but still.

The finish

As you can tell from the pictures, Night Sail is shiny. I usually do not mind whether a lacquer needs a coat of top coat in order to shine but when it comes to stamping polishes, it does matter. Let’s pretend I want to stamp on a matte polish and play with the shiny-matte effect, then I need my polish to be naturally shiny, right?!It is the case of Night Sail 🙂

How did it hold?

Oh boy! Another point that stressed me out while I wore Night Sail. After I noticed the terrible holding power of its brother Olive Tree, I feared that Night Sail would be a fail too. It was not! It held 6 days on my nails! It is clearly part of the high average of the polishes I own as far as hold goes so A+ to Night Sail.

The removal

I do not have anything to say in respect to the removal. Night Sail removes very well and it does not stain my nails/skin. I used a new nail polish remover, the acetone-free one by Inell -Leclerc- and it disappeared without any effort.

Where can you find it?

Night Sail was sold on MoYou London’s online shop until not so long ago but I do not find its page anymore That said, you can find it on Amazon I believe 😉
