Dans ce nouvel article, je vais vous parler d’un des derniers vernis à ongles qui a rejoint ma collection, mais également d’une marque dont je ne vous ai jamais parlé avant puisque je viens moi-même de la découvrir! Ce vernis, c’est Ocarina Of Time, de Pahlish Nail Polish. Il fait partie de la Collection Hero of Hyrule.

In the current blog post, I will be speaking about one of the latest nail polishes that joined my collection, but also of a brand I never mentioned before because I just discovered it myself! That nail polish is Ocarina Of Time, by Pahlish Nail Polish. It belongs to the Hero of Hyrule Collection.

Pahlish décrit Ocarina Of Time comme étant un vernis taupe clair au glow cuivre-rosé et je suis complètement d’accord avec cette description! C’est un vernis qui appelle le soleil, l’été, la chaleur et qui est tout doux à regarder. Il sera aussi parfait à l’automne, quand les feuilles des arbres prennent des teintes chaudes. J’adore!

Pahlish describes Ocarina Of Time as a soft taupe with rosey copper glow and I fully agree with that description! This nail polish screams sun, summer, heat and it is so nice to look at. It will also be perfect for Fall, when leaves start having warm tones. I love it!

L’application et le pinceau

L’application de Ocarina Of Time est très agréable et, en plus, elle est facile et rapide. Je vous détaille tout ça dans les points suivants 😉

Le pinceau est de longueur moyenne, plat, évasé vers le bas et en forme de langue de chat. C’est exactement le type de pinceau que j’aime 🙂

The way it applied and the brush

Ocarina Of Time is very pleasant, easy and quick to apply. I will be giving you more details down below 😉

The brush is of medium length, flat, wider towards the end and has a bit of a « U » shape. That’s exactly the kind of brush that I love 🙂

La texture et l’opacité

Côté texture, celle d’Ocarina Of Time est géniale. C’est une texture gel, super facile et agréable à poser, qui ne crée pas de bulles, ne fait pas de trous et ne laisse aucune trace de pinceau. J’en suis très contente car ce fut un vrai plaisir à poser.

Concernant l’opacité maintenant, Ocarina Of Time a besoin de deux couches pour être parfait. Seulement deux couches!

Texture and opacity

As far as texture goes, Ocarina Of Time is awesome. It is a gel-like texture that is super easy and pleasant to apply because it does not create any bubbles, holes, nor leaves any brush streaks. I am very happy with it because it was a real pleasure to play with.

Opacity wise now, Ocarina Of Time requires two coats to look perfect. Only two coats!

Le séchage

Ocarina Of Time sèche très vite! En plus, il ne sèche pas vite au point de ne pas pouvoir repasser dessus sans créer de pâté, pas du tout! Je le trouve fantastique sur ce point aussi. En à peine plus de 5 minutes, ma manucure complète était terminée. J’adore 🙂

The drying

Ocarina Of Time dries down very quickly! In addition, it does not dry down so quickly that you will not have time to go over it and it will get goopy, not at all! I find it to be fantastic on that aspect too. My entire manicure was done in a bit more than 5 minutes. I love that 🙂

Le rendu

J’aime beaucoup beaucoup le rendu d’Ocarina Of Time. On voit très bien sa teinte de base, le taupe. On voit très bien qu’il a des reflets rose, ainsi que des reflets cuivre. Vous pouvez le voir sur les photos d’ailleurs et, comme souvent, je n’ai pas appliqué de top coat 😉

Ceci étant dit, je trouve qu’il a tout de même besoin d’une couche de top coat afin de bien homogénéiser son rendu sur l’ongle et pour le rendre vraiment glossy. Avec un top coat par-dessus, ses reflets prennent vie et sont comme en suspension. Il devient une merveille!

The finish

I really really like the finish of Ocarina Of Time. Its taupe base shade is definitely visible. Its rose and copper reflects are definitely visible too. I am pretty sure that you see it for yourself when looking at the pictures and, as per usual, I did not add any top coat 😉

That being said, I find that it needs a coat of top coat over it in order to smooth out its finish on the nails and to make it really glossy. With a coat of top coat on, its reflects come to life and they look like they are in suspension in the taupe base. It becomes a true wonder!

La tenue

J’étais ravie de constater que Ocarina Of Time a tenu 6 jours sur mes ongles, sans qu’il ne s’écaille ni se ternisse. C’est durant le 7ème jour qu’il a commencé à s’affadir en bord libre. Je trouve cette tenue dingue, pas vous?! 😉

How long did it hold?

I was so happy to notice that Ocarina Of Time held for 6 days on my nails and without chipping off or losing its glossy finish. It is during the course of the 7th day that it started fading away towards the free edge. I find this holding power to be awesome, don’t you?! 😉

Le démaquillage

En un mot : parfait! Ocarina Of Time se retire sans frotter, avec un seul coton par main et mon dissolvant habituel. Il ne laisse aucun résidu et ne tache pas les ongles.

How did it remove?

One word: perfection! No need to rub the nails with a cotton pad to remove Ocarina Of Time. Speaking of cotton pad, I used one per hand, along with my favorite nail polish remover. It does not leave any residue nor stain the nails.
