Salut!

Hier, je vous retrouvais pour un billet nail art dans lequel je vous disais avoir voulu réaliser deux nail art très différents avec It Girl (ma revue ici) et Lonely Boy (là). Je vous y présentais un nail art duquel It Girl était la vedette. Aujourd’hui, je vais vous montrer le nail art duquel Lonely Boy est la star du show.

Comment j’ai fait?

J’ai commencé par appliquer Lonely Boy et une fois bien sec, je l’ai top coaté.

Ensuite, j’ai utilisé du striping tape pour faire la démarcation de la ligne horizontale, puis des triangles. Pour la ligne, j’ai posé mon striping tape normalement, sans faire attention à la longueur des tape. Pour ce qui est des tape qui m’ont servi à faire les triangles en revanche, je voulais vous donner deux indications. Premièrement, je suis partie du bord libre vers le tape placé à l’horizontale. Vous pouvez faire en sens inverse donc partir de la ligne horizontale mais, personnellement, je n’arrive pas à faire des triangles réguliers de cette façon. J’arrive mieux à repérer en partant du bord libre. Deuxième point, j’ai fait en sorte que le tape des triangles ne chevauche pas le tape de la ligne. Il est venu s’y coller, sans dépasser dessus. Pourquoi? Eh bien parce-que j’ai retiré le striping tape du bas de ligne et des triangles à des moments différents, donc je ne voulais pas risquer la cata 😉

Une fois mon tape de la ligne posé, j’ai rempli le vide avec It Girl, directement au pinceau du vernis. J’ai retiré le striping tape directement.

Je suis venue remplir les espaces vides des triangles aussi, toujours avec le pinceau de It Girl et j’ai retiré le tape.

Il ne me restait plus qu’à m’occuper du demi-rond en lunule et pour ce faire, rien de plus simple! Vous pouvez le faire à main levée si vous y arrivez bien, ce n’est pas mon cas pour les formes rondes qui doivent être parfaitement rondes; vous pouvez aussi vous servir d’un striping tape qui soit de forme ronde justement, ce que j’ai fait; mais vous pouvez aussi le faire « à l’ancienne », avec un bon vieux demi-œillet à classeur! J’ai donc posé mon 1/2 striping tape rond, j’ai rempli avec It Girl et j’ai retiré le tape direct.

Comme toujours, j’ai laissé sécher tranquillement, j’ai fait ma vie pendant 45 minutes/1h puis je suis revenue pour appliquer du top coat et c’était terminé!

Yesterday I told you that I wanted to do two very different nail art from one another using It Girl -my dedicated post is here– and Lonely Boy –there. In that same post, I showed you the nail art I did over It Girl. Today, I am back to show you what I did on Lonely Boy.

Let’s go straight to the point 😉

Step by step

I started by applying Lonely Boy and when fully dried down, I applied a coat of top coat over it.

Then, I used some striping tape to do the horizontal line and the triangles. I applied the striping tape that helped me doing the stripe completely normally, without paying too much attention to the length of the strings. As far as the tapes that I used for the triangles though, I made sure of two things. First of, I applied my strings from the free edge to the bottom tape of the line. You can do the other way around but I personally find that my triangles are not similar-looking that way. They look better from the free edge. Second point, I made sure that the tape of my triangles did not overlap the bottom string of the stripe. Why? Well, simply because I was about to remove my line striping tapes before the tapes of the triangles so I did not want to make a mess 😉

When the tape for the stripe was applied, I filled in the empty space with It Girl, with the nail polish brush directly. I removed the striping tape right away.

I also filled in the triangles, still with the brush of It Girl and I removed the striping tape right after.

I only had one step to go ahead with: taking care of the half-moon and let me tell you that it could not be easier! You can do it freehand if this is something that you master, this is not my case when it comes to round shapes that have to be perfectly round; you can also use a round-shaped striping tape, this is the option I chose; but you can also use the « oldie but goodie » method of the hole reinforcement label! I applied the 1/2 round striping tape, I filled in the area with It Girl and removed the tape as soon as that was don.

As always, I let that dry down, I lived my life for about 45 minutes to an hour and I applied a coat of top coat to seal the design!
