Dimanche dernier, je vous ai fait un billet consacré à ma revue du rouge à lèvres Luxury Cream Lipstick de Wayne Goss en teinte Carnation (c’était ici). Je vous y disais que je vous retrouverai aujourd’hui pour vous parler du deuxième rouge à lèvres que je me suis offert dans cette gamme. Me voilà donc aujourd’hui pour vous présenter et vous parler du Luxury Cream Lipstick Orchid, de Wayne Goss.

Last Sunday, I did a full review dedicated to the Luxury Cream Lipstick in the shade Carnation by Wayne Goss -it was here. I told you that I would be back today with my review of the second lipstick from this range that I offered myself. And here I am today, ready to show you and to talk to you about the Orchid Luxury Cream Lipstick, by Wayne Goss.

Orchid est décrit par Beautylish comme un, je traduis : « terre cuite brûlée au fini satin ». Je suis complètement d’accord avec cette description et j’ajouterai qu’il tire vraiment sur le orangé, sans être un pur orange. C’est encore une fois une teinte très subtile et très travaillée.

Orchid is described by Beautylish as a, I quote: « burnt terracotta with a satin finish ». I totally agree with such a description and I will add that it definitely has some orange undertones, without being a straight orange. It is once again a very subtle and well-thought shade.

La texture et la pigmentation

La texture d’Orchid est tout aussi agréable que celle de Carnation. Elle est légèrement moins émolliente, mais ce n’est pas un point négatif du tout! Vous allez d’ailleurs voir plus tard dans cette revue que cela joue sur la tenue d’Orchid 😉 Bref, j’adore sa texture et je la préfère à celle de Carnation, qui est donc plus crémeuse.

La pigmentation d’Orchid est excellente puisque j’ai appliqué deux passages de raisin sur chaque lèvre et j’ai obtenu le résultat que vous avez vu sur les photos. Il est génial cet Orchid!

Texture and Pigmentation

Orchid‘s texture is just as pleasant as Carnation’s. It is slightly less emolient but it is not a negative thing at all! You will even see later in the review that it plays a role in Orchid‘s wear time 😉 In short, I adore its texture and I prefer Orchid‘s texture to Carnation’s, which is creamier.

Orchid‘s pigmentation is excellent as I did only two passes of the bullet on each lip to get the finish you saw earlier on the photos. Orchid is definitely awesome!

L’application

Orchid s’applique très facilement et rapidement. De plus, il ne déborde pas du contour des lèvres, même appliqué à même le raisin et sans crayon à lèvres dessous! Moi qui ne possède pas de pinceau pour les lèvres, ça m’arrange 😀

The way it applies

Orchid applies very easily and quickly. In addition, it does not overline the lips, even applied straight from the bullet and without any lip pencil underneath! This is something that I enjoy a lot since I do not own any lip brush 😀

Le rendu

Non mais on en parle de cette teinte? J’y suis complètement accro! Pis le très bon point c’est qu’Orchid ira, lui aussi, à toutes les carnations. Il sera peut-être un peu plus adapté aux peaux ayant des sous-tons jaune, olive, pêche, doré, cuivré, que les peaux aux sous-tons rose, rouge, ou encore bleu cela dit. Pour en revenir à la teinte, je dirai qu’Orchid est très élégant et peut parfaitement remplacer un rouge à lèvres rouge. Si vous ne vous sentez pas à l’aise avec un rouge à lèvres rouge ou si vous en portez déjà tous les jours et souhaitez une alternative tout aussi chic, Orchid est le rouge à lèvres qu’il vous faut!

Le rendu d’Orchid est parfait à mes yeux car il n’accentue pas mes zones de sécheresse, il est super confortable car on ne sent pas qu’on le porte et alors j’adore, mais j’adore son vrai fini satiné! Pour le coup, Orchid a vraiment un fini satiné et je trouve ce fini tellement tellement joli et parfait avec la teinte d’Orchid.

The finish

Have you Guys seen this shade? I am totally addicted to it! And what is so great with Orchid is that it will suit any skin tone. It might be better-suited to skins with yellow, olive, peach, golden and coppery undertones than skins with pink, red or blue undertones though. Going back to the shade, I will say that Orchid is very elegant and can totally be a substitute to a red lipstick. If you do not feel comfortable wearing red on the lips or if you wear red lipstick every day and are looking for an alternative that would be just as chic, then look no further, Orchid is the lipstick you need!

For me, the finish of Orchid is perfect because it does not accentuate the dry areas of my lips, it is super comfortable because it is seemless and I adore, I literally adore its satin finish! Orchid definitely has a satin finish and I find this finish to be so sooo beautiful and perfect with Orchid‘s shade.

La tenue et l’estompe

Je mentionnais la tenue tout à l’heure, et le fait que la texture d’Orchid l’impacte. Eh bien Orchid a une tenue absolument géniale! J’ai constaté 4h de tenue parfaite sur moi, avec une très légère estompe au niveau du centre des lèvres à partir de 4h30 et une fine ligne un peu sèche au bout de 5h. Je suis très contente de cette tenue! C’est exactement la durée à laquelle je m’attendais pour les 3 rouges à lèvres de la collection et Orchid me rend vraiment ravie 🙂

Encore du positif : Orchid ne file pas dans les ridules de mes lèvres. Etant moins émollient que Carnation, il tient bien plus longtemps en place, sans bouger. Et puisqu’il s’estompe seulement au centre des lèvres, il suffit d’en ré-appliquer au centre. Orchid, mon amour!

Wear time and fading

I mentioned the wear time earlier, and the fact that the texture impacts Orchid. Well, Orchid has an absolutely amazing wear time! I noticed 4hrs of perfect holding power to my lips, with a slight fading towards the center of the lips after 4 and 1/2hrs of wear and a thin dry line after 5hrs. I am very happy with such a wear time! It is exactly the wear time I was expecting from the 3 lipsticks of the collection and so Orchid makes me really happy 🙂

Another positive point: Orchid does not crease into the fine lines of my lips. Being less emolient than Carnation, it holds in place much longer, without budging. And since it fades away only towards the center of the lips, I just re-apply it there. Orchid, my love!

Le démaquillage

Tout comme Carnation, Orchid se démaquille parfaitement avec l’huile démaquillante Précieux Argan So’ Bio Etic (ma revue est ici si cela vous dit 😉 ).

Mon avis global

J’aime tellement Orchid, vous n’imaginez même pas! J’aime son confort, j’aime par-dessus tout sa teinte qui est portable en toute saison et que je vais clairement adorer porter à l’automne, son démaquillage est parfait et sa tenue est géniale.

Orchid est une pure réussite et je vous le recommande chaudement ❤

Juste une petite note, il a tendance à jaunir mes dents qui ne sont déjà pas hyper hyper blanches de base. Rien d’anormal, c’est lié à sa teinte très chaude, mais je préfère le mentionner 😉

My overall thoughts

I love Orchid sooo much you Guys, you cannot even imagine! I love how comfortable it is, its shade is to die for, especially because it will be wearable in any season and I will definitely rock it in the Fall, it removes amazingly well and its wear time is perfect.

Orchid is a true gem and I highly recommend it to you ❤

Just something to take into consideration: it tends to make my teeth look a bit yellower than they are. They are not super duper white by nature and Orchid being a very warm shade, that’s totally normal but I prefer mentioning it 😉
