Nails for Fun #64 – Green & Cactuses / Picture Polish

Salut!

Il y a quelques temps, je vous ai fait ma revue de Succulent de Picture Polish, ici, et le billet d’aujourd’hui est dédié au nail art que j’ai réalisé sur lui plus récemment.

Lorsque j’ai vu Succulent pour la première fois, j’ai de suite pensé à ce nail art avec Cactus, que je possédais déjà. J’avais envie d’un gradient avec des cactus dessus et d’un double gradient sur deux ongles. Alors c’est avec ce nail art que je vous retrouve ici 🙂 En même temps, je n’ai rien inventé! Un vernis qui s’appelle Succulent, un autre qui s’appelle Cactus, que pouvais-je faire d’autre qu’un stamping avec des cactus?! 😀

J’espère qu’il vous plaira! Moi qui aime tellement le vert, j’ai adoré le faire et le porter 😉

Comment j’ai fait?

J’ai commencé par appliquer une couche de base et pour ce nail art, c’est la Fill’Em Up de Picture Polish que j’ai choisie.

Deuxième étape, poser deux couches de Succulent et le laisser sécher sans le top coater.

Maintenant, l’étape du gradient! Avant toute chose! Absolument badigeonner ses doigts de latex liquide! Ensuite, sur une éponge à nail art, j’ai posé Succulent et Cactus en les chevauchant un peu. J’ai tamponné mes ongles un à un avec mon éponge et chaque doigt a été tamponné 4 fois, Succulent en haut et Cactus en bas. J’ai laissé sécher complètement, je dirais environ 20 minutes, puis j’ai posé du top coat.

Ensuite, sur mon pouce, mon index et mon auriculaire, je suis simplement venue stamper le même cactus noir.

Puis, sur mon majeur et mon annulaire, j’ai posé deux bandes de striping tape côte à côte, en prenant soin de ne pas les séparer lorsque je les ai prises du papier, en plein milieu de mes ongles à la verticale. Par-dessus, j’ai appliqué une fine bande de scotch afin de m’assurer que rien ne passerait au milieu des deux bandes. De là, j’ai tout simplement fait le même stamping, mais à l’envers donc Cactus en haut et Succulent en bas. J’ai tamponné chaque doigt 4 fois et j’ai retiré le tape de suite terminé. J’ai laissé sécher tranquillement.

J’ai procédé au grand nettoyage, ce qui m’a pris environ 10 minutes, et j’ai ensuite posé une couche de top coat. Fini!

I did a full post reviewing Succulent some time ago –here– and today’s post is about the nail art I did over it more recently.

When I first saw Succulent, I right away thought of doing today’s nail art, combining it with Cactus which I already had in my collection. I wanted to go for a gradient with some stamped cactuses and a double gradient on two nails. I hope that you are ready for this nail art 🙂 Well, I did not discover anything though! A nail polish that is called Succulent, another one that is called Cactus, what else could I do if not stamping cactuses over them?! 😀

I hope that you will enjoy it! I am a green lover so I really enjoyed doing it and wearing it 😉

Step by step

I started by applying a coat of base coat and for this nail art, I chose the Fill’Em Up base coat by Picture Polish.

Second step, I applied two coats of Succulent and I let it dry down without adding any top coat to it.

Now, gradient step! But before doing anything! Covered my fingers with liquid latex! Then, I applied Succulent and Cactus on a nail art sponge, overlapping them just a bit and I dabbed my nails one by one. I dabbed each nail 4 times placing Succulent to the top of the nail and Cactus towards the free edge. I let that dry down completely -I will say about 20 minutes- and I applied some top coat on.

Then, I simply stamped black cactuses to my thumb, index finger and pinky.

For my middle and ring fingers, I applied two stripes of striping tape vertically to the middle of my nails, making sure not to separate them when taking them from the paper. Over the tape, I applied a thin stripe of scotch tape just to make sure that nothing would get into the two stripes. From there, I very simply did the exact same stamping but reverse, so Cactus to the top and Succulent to the bottom. I dabbed each nail 4 times and removed the striping tape right away. I let that dry fully.

Then I cleaned it all which took me about 10 minutes and I finally threw on a nice coat of top coat. Done!
