Pour celles et ceux d’entre vous qui ne le sauraient pas, je suis inscrite sur la plateforme Mon Vanity Idéal et c’est grâce à cette plateforme que Cultiv m’a sélectionnée afin d’avoir la chance de tester leur Crème Hydratante alors je profite de cette introduction pour remercier à nouveau Cultiv et Mon Vanity Idéal pour m’avoir permis de tester cette crème et de découvrir la marque Cultiv, dont je vais vous parler plus en détails plus bas dans mon billet 😉 Allez, c’est parti pour ma revue de la Crème Hydratante pour un Visage rayonnant Betterave Epinard Chicorée, de Cultiv.

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen the story in which I showed you the parcel that the brand Cultiv sent to me graciously a few weeks ago. For those of you who might not know it, I am registered on the Mon Vanity Idéal platform and it is thanks to the platform that Cultiv chose me to try out their Moisturizer so I am taking advantage of this intro to thank again Cultiv and Mon Vanity Idéal for allowing me to try out and discover the brand Cultiv, which I will go back to in details a bit later in this post 😉 OK, let’s dive into my review of the Betterave Epinard Chicorée Moisturizer, by Cultiv.

Je vous fais juste un petit rappel de la nature de ma peau avant de commencer 😉 Ma peau est sèche à très sèche et déshydratée. Elle n’est pas spécialement sensible car je n’utilise que des produits ultra naturels et doux, qui ne contiennent pas d’alcool et qui sont sans ou alors avec très peu de parfum toujours d’origine naturelle, et de composition bio, mais il m’arrive quelques fois d’avoir des rougeurs ciblées au niveau de l’intérieur des joues.

A little reminder of the nature of my skin before starting 😉 My skin is dry to very dry and dehydrated. It is not really sensitive because I only use super duper natural and gentle products, that do not contain alcohol, that are either perfume-free or that contain minimal and natural perfume, and that are organic/bio. That said, I happen to have redness towards the inner portion of my cheeks.

Quelques mots sur la marque Cultiv à présent 🙂 Cultiv est une marque française, certifiée bio, vegan, dont les produits sont donc faits en France à partir d’ingrédients bio cultivés en France, qui n’utilise pas de silicones, parabens, phenoxyethanols, colorants synthétiques et tout autre ingrédient interdit par le bio, et qui propose également des compléments alimentaires ainsi qu’un concept de in&out. Le in&out, késako? Eh bien c’est le fait de prendre soin de sa peau de l’extérieur, par un soin, mais aussi de l’intérieur, grâce à des petites gummies donc de petits bonbons moelleux certifiés bio et 100% d’origine naturelle qui apportent de l’hydratation au corps. Ce que j’aime tout particulièrement chez cette marque? Les prix tout à fait raisonnable déjà, mais aussi les efforts énormes apportés aux packagings : pas de suremballage, utilisation de plastique recyclé, le fait que les produits soient sans parfum et le fait que ces derniers luttent contre l’agression causée par la lumière bleue des écrans qui nous entourent! Ça, plus ce que j’ai dit avant, eh bien tout cela fait que j’aime beaucoup Cultiv et j’ai très envie d’en tester plus!

A few words on the brand Cultiv now 🙂 Cultiv is a French brand that is certified as organic and vegan and which products are made in France with ingredients that grow in France, which does not use any silicones, parabens, phenoxyethanols, synthetic colors or any other ingredient that is forbidden by the organic rules, and which also offers food supplements along with an in&out concept. In&out, what is that? Well, it means taking care of your skin from the outside with skin care, but also from the inside with gummies so soft candies that are certified as organic and 100% natural that will hydrate your skin from the inside. What do I enjoy about this brand? First of all, their products are fairly priced, but they also put a lot of effort in their packaging: they do not wrap their products in a box or anything, they use recycled plastic for their tubes, they do not add any perfume to their skin care and the latter even help the skin fight against screen blue light! That added to everything that I mentioned before make me love this brand a lot and I definitely do feel like trying out more!

Le packaging

Comment vous dire que je suis une inconditionnelle des flacons-pompe?! J’adore ce type de packaging car c’est pratique à doser, cela permet un vide d’air ultra hygiénique, cela permet d’utiliser le produit jusqu’à la dernière goutte et cela ne risque pas d’exploser dans la cadre d’un transport en valise par exemple. Vraiment, le flacon pompe, j’adore et je trouve que toutes les marques devraient proposer leurs crèmes hydratantes sous cette forme!

Le flacon-pompe de la Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée est très bien conçu car la matière est souple et solide, dans un plastique recyclé à 50% (c’est pourquoi il est légèrement grisé et personnellement, la couleur du packaging m’est bien égale, vous le savez 😉 ), bref, j’en suis enchantée 🙂

En terme de contenance, nous sommes sur du 40ml, c’est une quantité tout à fait standard en matière de crème hydratante pour le visage donc c’est une contenance qui me convient très bien.

The packaging

Have I ever told you how much I love products that come with a pump?! I love this type of packaging because it is easy to get the right quantity of product out of it, it is super hygienic because it does not allow the air to get in the product, it also avoids any product waste as one can get until the last drop of product and finally, it will not explode if thrown in a piece of luggage for instance. I am genuinely in love with pump packaging and in my opinion, every single brand should offer this type of packaging for moisturizers!

The pump packaging of the Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée is very well-thought and designed because the material is soft and solid, it is made out of plastic that is 50% recycled -that’s why it is a tiny bit grey but you know that I could not care less about the color of the packaging 😉 – in other words, I am thrilled 🙂

As far as quantity goes, there are 40ml in the tube and that is a very standard quantity when it comes to face moisturizers so I am pretty happy with such a quantity.

L’application YUKA lui donne une note de 100%. Je ne doute en rien de la propreté de sa composition. En revanche, je regrette que la marque n’ait pas mis, entre parenthèse par exemple, le nom des ingrédients en français. J’ai eu le plus grand mal à vérifier la signification et l’usage de certains des ingrédients, comme le distarch phosphate, ou encore le propanediol par exemple 😦

The YUKA app gives it a mark of 100%. I have no doubt that its ingredients list is clean. However, I would have appreciated it if the brand had mentioned the French translation and use of each ingredient, under brackets for instance. I had a hard time finding any info on ingredients like distarch phosphate or propanediol 😦 

La texture

J’adore la texture de la Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée. Elle est fondante, ni liquide ni épaisse, fraîche et soyeuse. Elle est très agréable!

The texture

I really enjoyed the texture of the Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée. It melts into the skin very easily, it is neither liquid nor thick, it is fresh and feels like silk. It is super pleasant!

L’application

La Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée s’applique facilement, agréablement et rapidement. Elle fond dans la peau, elle s’étire plutôt bien, elle pénètre relativement rapidement dans la peau, c’est une crème qui, malgré le fait qu’elle n’ait pas d’odeur, est très sensorielle. Aussi, elle a un fini mat et lumineux sur la peau, ce qui peut être très appréciable pour les hommes qui l’utilisent car elle ne fait pas briller. Et pour celles qui portent du fond de teint ou de la poudre, cette crème ne vous fera pas briller 😉

The way it applies

The Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée applies easily, pleasantly and quickly. It melts into the skin, it spreads pretty well, it penetrates into the skin fairly quickly, it is a very sensory moisturizer. Also, it has a matte and luminous finish, which men who use it might very much appreciate as it will not make their skin look shiny. And for anyone wearing foundation or powder, this moisturizer will not make you shine 😉

La senteur

Comme je le disais, la Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée ne contient aucun parfum, elle n’a donc quasiment pas d’odeur, peut-être juste une petite odeur d’épluchure de légume. J’ai énormément apprécié cette crème pour son absence de parfum! En effet, moi qui n’utilise que des soins bio depuis plusieurs années, je n’étais encore jamais tombée sur une crème bio sans parfum et vraiment, ça m’a énormément plu ❤

The scent

Like I said earlier, the Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée does not contain any perfume, it barely has a scent, maybe a scent of vegetable peel. I highly appreciated this moisturizer due to the fact that it is perfume-free! Indeed, I have been using organic skin care for years now but I never happened to find a perfume-free moisturizer before and I genuinely really enjoyed this one ❤

Les effets sur la peau

Entrons maintenant dans le vif du sujet : l’efficacité sur ma peau sèche à très sèche et déshydratée. J’ai utilisé exclusivement la Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée pendant les 6 semaines qu’ont duré cette campagne de test, de la mi-septembre à ce matin-même, et cette crème me convient parfaitement pour le matin et le soir, ainsi que pour le contour de mes yeux car oui, cette crème peut parfaitement s’appliquer en contour des yeux aussi! Je l’ai trouvée très efficace pour hydrater ma peau et pour la nourrir également. Je n’ai eu aucune rougeur lors de l’utilisation de la crème, ni de zones de sécheresse. Ma peau était souple, ne tiraillait pas et était comme repulpée.

J’émets cependant une réserve car je ne suis pas certaine qu’elle serait suffisante pour la fin de l’automne et pour l’hiver, saisons durant lesquelles ma peau est très sèche et très déshydratée. Ceci étant dit, elle était parfaite pour le début de l’automne et je pense qu’elle conviendrait tout à fait à ma peau au printemps et en été.

A côté de cela, il faut savoir que la Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée est une bonne base de maquillage puisqu’elle ne peluche pas sous les fonds de teint que j’ai pu porter dessus, c’est très appréciable.

Aussi, si cela était possible, j’apprécierais énormément si la marque pouvait noter le nom des ingrédients en français 🙂

The effects on the skin

Let’s speak efficiency for a bit: is it efficient on my dry to very dry and dehydrated skin? I used the Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée exclusively during the 6 weeks that the test campaign lasted, from mid-September to this morning and this moisturizer works really well on my skin for the morning and the evening, and for the eye area too because yes, this moisturizer can definitely be used on the eye area! I found it to be very efficient to hydrate my skin and to nourrish it as well. I did not have any red spot while using it, nor dry patches. My skin was soft, plumped and very comfortable.

I however want to say that I am not 100% positive about its efficiency in the end of Fall and in the Winter, seasons during which my skin is usually very dry and very dehydrated. That being said, it would be perfect for the Spring and Summer and so was it for the beginning of Fall.

Besides that, I want to mention that the Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée is a very nice makeup base as it does not wear off under foundation which I appreciate a lot.

Also, if possible, I would very much appreciate if the brand could write down the name of the ingredients in French 🙂

Mon avis global

Vous l’aurez compris, je suis très contente de la Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée! C’est une super crème hydratante, qui a une très belle compo et dont la marque a des valeurs que je partage, qui a su répondre aux besoins de ma peau et du contour de mes yeux en ce début d’automne, que j’ai aimé utiliser matin et soir pendant 6 semaines sans jamais m’en lasser. Je vous la recommande si votre peau est déshydratée et/ou sèche et déshydratée, prudence si votre peau est très sèche en revanche car elle pourrait ne pas vous convenir pour la saison à venir.

Je vais commencer à la tester dès demain matin avec le mini Sérum que la marque m’a gentiment envoyé car j’ai envie de voir ce que le combo des deux apporte à ma peau. Si l’utilisation simultanée des deux produits me semble concluante, j’achèterai la crème ainsi que le sérum et je vous ferai un billet des deux sous forme de routine 😉

Et si vous souhaitez maximiser l’efficacité de la crème, pensez aux gummies!

My overall thoughts

You guessed it, I am very satisfied with the Crème Hydratante Betterave Epinard Chicorée! It is a great moisturizer which has a very nice ingredients list and I share the values of the brand, it really fit my skin and eye area concerns for the beginning of Fall and I enjoyed using it morning and evening for 6 weeks without getting bored. I recommend it to dehydrated and/or dehydrated and dry skins, beware that it might not suit your skin in the coming season if your skin is very dry though.

I will start trying it out from tomorrow morning and on with the Serum that the brand kindly offered to me as a travel size because I am dying to see how my skin will like the combo of the two. In case my skin seems to like the simultaneous use of the two products, then I will buy the moisturizer and the serum and will do a post later on as a skincare routine 😉

And if you want to maximize the effects of the moisturizer, think about getting some gummies!
